Delivering science education to youth in rural communities. This project will deliver a science and technology news magazine to youth in rural communities in Romania and the Republic of Moldova. After 40 years the publication recently stopped due to lack of funding, leaving youth in these communities without an alternative source for this information.

The project will restart the publication and delivery to more than 10,000 youth in these communities, 3 to 4 times per year. Youth of all ages will have access to information stimulating their inspiration and imagination. Description:

SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY MAGAZINE delivering science education to youth in rural communities.

This project will deliver a science and technology news magazine to youth in rural communities in Romania and the Republic of Moldova. Elementary school and high school students living in rural communities with limited access to science education materials in the countries of the Republic of Moldova and Romania. Estimated benefit to 10,000 students annually.

Coordinators:

Coordinators will include the executive management team of the World Genesis Foundation and assigned resources who will manage the publication and distribution process in Romania and Moldova.

Other Management Support:

Other management support will include selected editors, publicists, printers and teachers in schools and universities throughout Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

 

Project Goals and Objectives

Short-term:

1. To restart the publication and free distribution of this Science and Technology educational magazine to enable its delivery to students in rural areas in Romania and Moldova who otherwise would not have access to this information via presently available sources.

Long-term:

1. Through this process to identify a long-term sustainable solution and partners to ensure delivery of the science and technology educational information to youth in rural communities in Romania and Moldova.

2. To evaluate need and opportunities to extend the publication and distribution of the magazine to youth in need in neighboring countries to Romania and Moldova.
