Rochester Athletes and Fitness Enthusiasts Get Up, Get Moving and Give Back in a Fitness Fund Raiser for Youth.

 Representing the sponsors were 25 althletes and fitness enthusiasts including Lindsy Clare, Danielle Moran, Efrayn DeJesus, Ana Franco, Lindsay Rau, Raheem Miller, Toy Bolor, Jodi Altman, Jason VanDemark, Robin Charlton, Denise Gruttadan, Sara Ramspey, Tracy Cherry, Kathy Cremen, Hal Wolfe, Stephanie Roberts, Cheryl D'Angelo, Alex D'Angelo, Judith Duarte, Kim Hines, Lindsay, Danielle, Corrie Lese, Julie Cherry, Heather Caton, and Stacy. |

"The team at the World Gym of Rochester created such a great opportunity to collaborate with the community in support of a program for youth being launched this month in Romania. It was a great way for people to get up, get moving and give back!," said Heather Caton, Senior Director of the World Genesis Foundation. "It was a very fun and high-energy environment that was created by the World Gym staff coordinating the event. The event managers included World Gym Group Fitness Manager, Corrie Lese, TurboKick Instructor, Julie Cherry, and World Gym Manager and Professional Trainer, James Byrd. We are very grateful for their support and to the owners of the World Gym, Ron and Michelle Sember, who opened their facility and staff to the community to host the event.
The Fitness Fundraiser brought in $1,130 from sponsors. The money will support a 10-day Summer Academy of Learning opening on July 30th, 2010 being held on an Island in the Danube delta near the Black Sea in Romania. More than 500 students and teachers will attend the program from locations all around the world. This is the third year the Academy has been sponsored by the World Gym of Rochester. The World Genesis Foundation was founded on November 30, 1999 and is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to a vision and mission to "leave no child without hope for the future."
