World Gym of Rochester Sponsors International Wushu Team at 2008 UNESCO Program for Youth.

"We are grateful to have the support of Ron and Michelle Sember, owners of the World Gym of Rochester on this project. With their support we were able to assemble a team of fifteen (15) young Wushu students from multiple countries including Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, the Republic of Moldova, Romania, and the United States. The youth learned about the history of Wushu while also learning two basic Wushu forms which they demonstrated in performances in the evening amphitheatre program. The youth worked extremely hard and learned a lot in just 10 days. It was an absolute pleasure to work with them," said David Lewis Anderson, President and CEO of the World Genesis Foundation and instructor of the program.
For next steps, the World Genesis Foundation is already working with sponsors to evaluate the possible launch of a Chinese Sabre instruction program in 2009.
The World Genesis Foundation was founded on November 30, 1999 and is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to a vision and mission to "leave no child without hope for the future." Headquartered in Santa Fe, NM USA, the foundation supports activities worldwide to create educational, scientific and cultural opportunities for youth with a special focus in areas of the world where these opportunities are limited or do not exist.
