The World Genesis Foundation announced today plans to sponsor 20 youth from the Republic of Moldova to participate in a UNESCO Learning Academy in Romania this summer.

"We are pleased to announce that plans have been finalized that will create the opportunity for twenty (20) youth from the Republic of Moldova to travel and participate in this summer's Learning Academy in Romania. Two teams, led by Maria Ciochina and Veronica Budeanu, will travel and join the Academy and will be involved in almost every aspect of the program this year. The opportunity for these twenty youth to participate was made possible by Mary Ann Martini of the Metropolitan Opera of New York and we and the families of the children from the Republic of Moldova are very grateful for her support," said David Lewis Anderson, President and CEO of the World Genesis Foundation.

World Genesis Foundation management also hopes the participation of these teams will also add an additional dimension to a very special Cultural Awareness and Understanding project for the youth being managed this year by Chan Chow Wah from the Cultural Compass Project of Singapore.

The World Genesis Foundation was founded on November 30, 1999 and is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to a vision and mission to "leave no child without hope for the future."  Headquartered in Santa Fe, NM USA, the foundation supports activities worldwide to create educational, scientific and cultural opportunities for youth with a special focus in areas of the world where these opportunities are limited or do not exist.
